So Momo, Frank, Piccione, Metro and Polka were driven away this morning to a new pond. The remaining koi are a little confused and probably stressed. Very little breakfast was eaten and some of them seem to have forgotten the routine. We’ll have to do some retraining. Momo and Frank were about 23 and 21 inches respectively and they were a very calming influence in the pond. Hoping that Ethel, Farm Boy and Pepper can fill those roles. Buttercup (the yamabuki) and Tarzan (the asagi) are larger but they traditionally do their own thing – kind of like pond divas.
